MY JOURNEY
I want to start off by saying I’m not some baby Buddha that started off on the cushion all zen & introspective. My journey started off like most of ours do -- wanting some peace from what my life (and mind) was throwing at me.
Over the years, what began as a private, insatiable curiosity to understand my own mind and how it impacted my day-to-day reality developed into something much more. It led me to devouring books, working through my own healing journey, starting a clothing brand that advocated the importance of mental health (with donations going to mental health non-profits) and finally becoming a Meditation & Breathwork teacher. (All while continuing to be the “normal” 9-to-5 NYC gal in my daily life.)
As a coach, I’ve since worked with private, brand and corporate clients - providing those who meditate with me with one-on-one sessions, group meditations and classes that help deepen your connection to your inner wisdom.
I love debunking “meditation myths”, helping people find joy in their practice and showing student these practices are more than just a moment of relaxation on the cushion — its a way to transform the way you show up in the world.
WHY MEDITATE? (A PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE)
Through all the things I have tried, I have found that mediation is the one constant among all the practices. It’s something that’s flexible enough to support you wherever you are in your journey – whether you’re just looking for some more peace in your day or looking to dive into some deep inner healing – and can provide constant support no matter what life is throwing at you. (It’s like a workout routine, but for your mind).
It can be a transformational tool – one that brings awareness to the beliefs that hold us back from being our true selves and provides grounding as we work through change.
WHY BREATHWORK? (A PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE)
Like I said, I’m an NYC gal. And as an NYC gal (and meditation teacher) who understands being a part of the hustle & bustle, I know the classic oppositions to starting a daily practice: not enough time, can’t sit still, can’t “think about nothing” (which is a meditation myth btw), I don’t think its working -- the works.
While I personally believe that meditation is the most foundational tool to developing conscious awareness, active breathwork helps bypass the mind and enter a different state of awareness much quicker.
When implemented for a short interval of time, breathwork can help you get out of your head and into the present moment -- resulting in the relaxation that many of us seek from meditation. When implemented for a longer interval of time, it is a powerful healing tool to release any deeply held emotions or stagnant energy within as quickly as one session.

My teaching style is approachable, yet transformational. My goal as a coach is to create a space where you feel supported to come as you are and leave with a practice that impacts your daily life. (Not just on the cushion, but off it too.)
